Miami, FL, July 19, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility is what’s trending! Corporations are now looking for new ways to give back to their communities. This has multiple benefits, such as creating long-term consumer and employee value through simple green strategies that are focused on the natural environment. Always having in mind every dimension of the organization's operating system in the social, cultural and economic environment.
Amazon has been giving back to the Seattle community for years. Now they are working on a new project, three enormous orbs that oversee Amazon’s Office Towers. This will be the home for over 300 plant species from around the globe to create what they believe will be the workplace of the future. Amazon is known to be a forward-thinking company motivated to help their employees be more productive and creative by offering a connection to nature.
Amazon’s employees will be able to take stress free walks through the orbs, brainstorm and even hold meetings in the area. The project will be available to the community and tourists in 2018.
CoveringsETC has a similar project, an edible garden in an art filled piazza. Created with with the capacity to influence its community and produce a stress free green environment. The environment is supervised by a botanist from the Fair Child Tropical Gardens. The garden was launched in 2015 in the district of Miami Ironside, the converted warehouses of CoveringsETC. The main piazza is now an urban garden growing many varieties of seasonal herbs, vegetables and fruit. The two restaurants in the piazza use the gardens for their menus and the employees of the 70 businesses located at Miami Ironside, as well as school children and visitors, are welcome to pick anything for themselves.
Butterfly Curation is the newest addition to the garden. Different species of butterflies enjoy distinct plants and a variety has been planted to create butterfly paths and nesting sites. The garden throughout the piazza is now home to hundreds of butterflies. Butterflies induce a peaceful environment and the effect is a stress-free zone for the employees of CoveringsETC and the community.
